As a subscriber to Auto Assault and a valued NCsoft(R) customer, we wanted to let you know about the future of the Auto Assault service and how this would affect your subscription with us. As you may know, we have closed the Auto Assault service completely as of 11:59pm CST, August 31, 2007. It is now no longer accessible for any subscriber.
Your 'andi811' Auto Assault game account was recently active. We greatly appreciate your loyalty and your dedication to Auto Assault, and we are saddened that the service is closing. While you will no longer be able to play Auto Assault, we hope that you would like to try out some of our other current and upcoming products... on us. (Read on! There are some free retail serial codes waiting for you!)
Each of the following items will appear in your 'Andi81' PlayNC(R) master account in the "Purchased Serial Codes" section. Each one can be redeemed when they are available. For example, the Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa(R) (Europe) Pre-Order Serial Code will be usable starting tomorrow, September 7, 2007. However, the Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa (Europe) Retail Serial Code will not be usable until the live service launches later this fall on October 19, 2007. The City of Heroes(R) (Europe) Serial Code is usable immediately.
You may be familiar with City of Heroes, which is our massively multiplayer comic book inspired MMORPG, where you can create your own super powered character, gain and enhance your powers and battle all sorts of enemies. You can even battle each other! In order to give City of Heroes a try, all you have to do is activate the serial code, which is a full retail serial code for City of Heroes (Europe) and will grant you one month of included game time*. How about something more sci-fi? We have just the thing because we'd like you to take part in the beta test for Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa. It's an action-oriented RPG, where the last bastions of humanity have formed the Allied Free Sentients and battle the evil Bane for survival on numerous alien worlds. Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa is one of the most anticipated games of the year and we'd like to give you the opportunity to give it a try before the rest of the public. We have provided a Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa Pre-Order (Europe) Serial Code that you can use to create a new game account or add onto an existing beta game account. This provided serial code will be usable starting tomorrow, September 7, 2007. The pre-order serial code will give you a number of bonus items, including one of two non-combat pets and two exclusive character emotes. Additionally, you will get access to the three-day head-start on October 6, 2007. Once you have created your game account with this serial code, you will also have access to the beta test.
Additionally, we are providing a full-version retail serial code for Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa (Europe). You will need to use this serial code to upgrade your pre-order game account when the game launches to live play status on October 19, 2007.
All three serial codes have already been inserted into your PlayNC master account 'Andi81' in the "Purchased Serial Codes" section for your convenience.
IMPORTANT - To use any of these serial codes, please follow the appropriate instructions below. Instructions are provided for both upgrading an existing account or creating a new game account. In most cases, you will want to be sure to upgrade an existing eligible account to ensure that all of your access and bonuses are usable through the same game account.
CREATE ACCOUNT INSTRUCTIONS
With the instructions below you can do one of the following:
- Create a new City of Heroes (Europe) game account
- Create a new Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa (Europe) Pre-Order game account

5. Choose your activation method. You will need a valid credit or debit card, or prepaid game time card to activate your account.
- If you use a credit or debit card, you will not be charged until your included month of game time expires.
- If you use a game time card, you will receive the included month of game time plus the number of days included with your specific game time card.
UPGRADE ACCOUNT INSTRUCTIONS
With the instructions below you can do any of the following:
- Upgrade a beta, pre-order, trial, or retail City of Villains(R) (Europe) game account with your City of Heroes (Europe) Retail Serial Code

Auto Assault gone with a big bang...
Evil_since_1981 am 02.09.2007 um 07:30 (UTC) | | | Like we all hoped before the shut-down...the end was again like the whole game was...fat action! Good things to say about the GMs: 1. they gave all whose told them the needed level, money, battlemaster and warmonger stuff for the big show-down event! 2. they came online to help at mutant, mek and human site the players needed something brought them to locations, gave them "epic chassis of xeno, biomute, justice" and 3. they gave us an event like AA was worth it: fat boss enemies in masses like "Chariot", "Momma", Radian", "The Tower" + some new bosses + uber-tuned enemy bosses like "The Xeno Factory" with about 150000 target points! That was a real great event and even one of the best ever! In this time AA players of each class showed up in contested Ground Zero in masses on the human side about 25 on the mek side also and we gave us a fat "player-versus-player" event. I missed the last 2,5 hours of Auto Assault cause I had to work the day after but I hoped you gave AA its best impressions also in that time...AA we will never forget u! And listen: the event pictures and movies will show up during the next days! I swear I did masses of movies and pictures I have to look-over and bring them online!

Nach nur knapp eineinhalb Jahren seit Veröffentlichung von Auto Assault von Entwickler NetDevil und Publisher NCsoft ist am 31. August 2007 das Ende der postapokalyptischen Crashfahrten erreicht. NCSoft verkündeten am 2. Juli auf der offiziellen Webseite zu Auto Assault, dass das Spiel eingestellt wird.
Entgegen der Erwartung aller Beteiligten ist die Spielerzahl in den vergangenen Monaten immer weiter zurückgegangen. Auf den bereitgestellten Servern für die kämpferischen Chaosfahrer kurvten kaum noch abenteuerliche Raser. Es wurde mehr in das Spiel investiert als letztendlich zurückkam.
Zahlungen zu laufenden Abonnements werden ab sofort eingestellt. Eventuell zu viel gezahlte Beiträge werden zurück erstattet.
Today NCsoft is announcing that it will be closing down service for Auto Assault at the end of the summer. The service will close at midnight on August 31, 2007. As of today, any player currently in the service with an active billed account will not be billed again. If players have previously purchased time via multi-month billing or time cards that extends their service past July 31, NCsoft will reconcile these accounts appropriately. Support for online title will close in August

The title launched in April last year and had seen a steady stream of free content released for it from developer NetDevil.
"Today NCsoft is announcing that it will be closing down service for Auto Assault at the end of the summer," confirms a notice on the official Auto Assault website.
"The service will close at midnight on August 31 2007. As of today, any player currently in the service with an active billed account will not be billed again."
Players with multiple month billing or time cards will be reimbursed and more information is expected to be announced shortly.
NCsoft has enjoyed considerable success with a number of MMO titles including Lineage, City of Heroes and Guild Wars.
The next title from Auto Assault developer NetDevil will be a massively multiplayer game based on the Lego brand.
